Who we are
One supplier for every stand
Apex Rolls started in 1989 at Sherpur Road, Malerkotla — the city of rolls — and has made rolls since 1997. Every roll is tested and certified before it leaves.
We were the first in India to spin-cast chilled roll sleeves by the double-pour technique. Today we supply the full range — centrifugally cast, static cast, forged and HSS rolls — each made to our specification and machined to the customer's drawing, for mills across India and abroad.

How it's made
From melt to mill
-

Melting & metallurgy
High-grade tested raw materials, melted and balanced to the exact chemistry of each roll grade.
-

Centrifugal casting
The sleeve is spin-cast in two pours — a hard chilled outer layer over a tougher inner layer.
-

Shrink-fit & machining
The sleeve is shrink-fitted onto a steel shaft. Barrel, necks and wobblers are then turned and ground to the drawing.
-

Testing & dispatch
Chemistry, hardness and dynamic balance are checked on microprocessor-based equipment before dispatch.
- ChemistryChemical composition checked for each grade
- HardnessShore hardness mapped across the barrel
- MicrostructureChecked on every cast batch
- DocumentsTest certificate with every roll
