Apex Rolls (India) Pvt. Ltd. began in 1989 and has made rolls since 1997, developing new techniques for the casting and machining of chilled rolls for steel rolling mills. The works are on Sherpur Road, Malerkotla — a historic city known for communal harmony, and for its rolls.
We were the first in India to spin-cast chilled roll sleeves by the double-pour technique. For nearly three decades we have refined this process at our foundry, making rolls to high quality standards for customers across India and abroad.
The working surface of a chilled iron roll consists of cementite, ledeburite and fine dispersed pearlite — the metallurgy behind its wear resistance and long campaign life.
